Completely unrelated to my house-hunting

::yeah, right::

Here is a business segment that appeared out of thin air in the last year or two: social shopping. Did you know about this? Am I the last Gen X/Y-er to figure this out? Apparently, on more and more online stores, if you see something you like you have the option of "sending" it to your Facebook profile/MySpace page/social networking tool of your choice. I've never done that. I don't like the idea of some application advertising, on my behalf, to my friends. But I've found a social shopping feature that I actually really love: wists! It is basically just a bookmarking feature. You see something you like, you add it to your wist (as in wish-list), and then you keep track of the items. You can choose to display them, if you want (mine fit nicely into the side bar over there!), or you can just keep them undisclosed so that 3 months from now when you forget which store had the great spring throw pillows that are probably on clearance by now, bingo - you have the link.

With regard to the house, no news to report yet ... but in my theoretical adorable 50's house, the items on my "wist" would theoretically be perfect.

:-)

A girl can daydream, right?

Interesting! I'm not a social shopper, but I do like this wist thingy.
